Police officers from the station in Warta Bolesławiecka, working with criminal investigators from Bolesławiec, detained a 17-year-old suspected of four burglaries. The boy escaped from a juvenile detention centre and broke into a detached house, from which he stole a phone and jewellery.
The 17-year-old resident of Warta Bolesławiecka commune admitted guilt and indicated where he had hidden part of the stolen goods.
Moreover, it emerged that the 17-year-old had three more burglaries to his name: at detached houses and an outbuilding. The teenager committed all the offences with his 21-year-old friend, who had previously been detained by officers from Warta. (The older burglar has already been sent to prison because he had a six-month sentence to serve).
The 17-year-old was placed in a juvenile detention centre. He could now face up to 10 years in prison.
