A police officer making a first visit to a family subject to the “Blue Card” procedure will give the youngest children a stuffed animal. Officers from Bolesławiec hope that the toy will ease the child’s stress. They would also like children to know that, in a threatening situation, they can turn to the police for help.
Some of the stuffed animals went to the so-called Blue Room at the District Police Headquarters, where police officers talk with children.
The purchase of the stuffed animals was financed by the Municipal Commission for Solving Alcohol-Related Problems in Bolesławiec.
