At the beginning of August, our Reader noticed at the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec what is “currently conspicuous throughout the country, namely the lack of proper marking of spaces for people with disabilities.”
The proceedings in this case were conducted by officers from Lwówek Śląski, who submitted a request to the District Court in Bolesławiec to punish the district police chief in Bolesławiec, Dariusz Borski. A verdict has already been issued—the head of the Bolesławiec police received a reprimand. Naturally, the markings at the police headquarters have already been corrected.
Let us recall what our Reader wrote at the beginning of August:
Under the regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of 3 July 2015 (Journal of Laws 2015, item 1314), which entered into force on 7 September 2015 with a transitional period lasting until 1 July 2017, parking spaces for people with disabilities should be marked with a wheelchair symbol inside a border, painted on a blue background. This means that by 30 June 2017, all spaces in car parks designated for people with disabilities should have been repainted blue.
As they say—the darkest place is under the lamp.
As it turns out, the court agreed with him. What do you think?
