The incident took place on New Year’s Eve in Lubin. After midnight, the staff of one of the hotels called the duty officer at the Lubin police station. According to the company employees, one of the hotel guests vandalized the bathroom door and assaulted a woman working there.

At the scene, police officers detained a 41-year-old man from Lubin. As it turned out, the man had rented a room at the hotel. After some time, two women came to see him. The three behaved very loudly, which began to disturb the other hotel guests.

The staff decided to calm the noisy guests down. In the corridor, the 41-year-old got into a scuffle with one of the employees. When the receptionist tried to help her colleague, the aggressive guest hit her in the face. The woman lost consciousness. She was taken to hospital with a broken nose.

The suspect was placed in police custody. He faces up to five years in prison.
