The incident occurred on Wednesday, December 27, in Godzieszów (Nowogrodziec gmina). For reasons not yet established, the 36-year-old driver of a Renault Twingo lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit the barriers. The Twingo rolled over.
Three people were traveling in the car: two men and a woman. (All three were residents of Henryków Lubański.) Two injured people were pulled from the vehicle. One of the men was trapped inside the car. Firefighters had to use hydraulic equipment to free him.
The 31-year-old Renault passenger, who suffered a femur injury, was taken to the Bolesławiec hospital. The driver and the 33-year-old female passenger were taken to a facility in Zgorzelec. She was not seriously injured. He may have a fractured spine.
The Renault driver was sober. Firefighters from the Bolesławiec County Headquarters of the State Fire Service took part in the operation, as did volunteer firefighters from Czerna and Wykroty.
