The piglets were born on Monday, 18 December. They are lively and charming creatures.
Their mother, the sow “Kharma,” has extensive experience raising offspring. For the four-year-old Tibetan pig, these are piglets number 51 to 59.
To keep the little ones from getting cold in the currently low temperatures, they have been given not only a thick layer of straw but also a heat lamp.
Visitors to the zoo can see the snuffling youngsters by looking into the pig enclosure in the Tibetan Village.
