A married couple from the city reported to the District Police Headquarters in Lubin. According to the couple, they had found shopping left behind by someone. What is more, the bag contained a wallet with money. The police took possession of the lost property. All that remained was to identify its owner.
It did not take long. A dozen or so minutes later, an elderly woman came to the police station. She did not know where she had left her shopping and money. As it turned out, the elderly woman’s belongings were already at the headquarters. Importantly, the wallet contained all the money she had left until her next pension payment. She was overjoyed that it had been found so quickly.
The police officers drove the elderly woman home. It turned out that she lived alone and had no family nearby. The officers informed MOPS about the elderly woman’s situation.
