The Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office brought eight charges against him, including psychological and physical abuse of his family and molesting his underage daughters. According to investigators, the man had tormented his relatives since 1990. One of his daughters broke the silence.

The trial began on Thursday, January 8. “We held it behind closed doors in consideration of the victims’ interests,” Rafał Gruca, vice-president of the District Court in Bolesławiec, told IstotneInformacje.pl. Rafał GrucaAt the prosecutor’s request, witnesses testified in the absence of the accused. “The women are still afraid of him,” the vice-president explained.

“The evidence gathered during the preparatory proceedings was confirmed before the court,” noted Adam Zieliński, the district prosecutor.

The next hearing was scheduled for February 3. The court will hear 20 more witnesses. Until then, the accused will remain in detention. As we learned, the man threatened his relatives that he would harm them if they testified against him.
