On Friday evening, December 8, the opening of an exhibition by the Zielona Góra FOTOOKA photography group took place at the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre of BOK – MCC. The exhibition is the result of cooperation between students of the University of the Third Age in Zielona Góra and Ceramika Artystyczna – Spółdzielnia Rękodzieła Artystycznego in Bolesławiec. The photographs focus on the process of creating Bolesławiec ceramic products. The exhibition can be viewed until the end of the year.
The opening was attended, among others, by students of the Bolesławiec and Zielona Góra Universities of the Third Age. The guests were welcomed by Wiesława Olczyk, head of the Bolesławiec University of the Third Age, Kornel Filipowicz, Deputy Mayor of Bolesławiec, and representatives of the Zielona Góra University of the Third Age: event initiator Roman Czarnecki and Ewa Kwaśniewicz.
Students who develop their passions during University of the Third Age classes presented their talents on stage. The Bolesławiec seniors presented a cobalt etude, while the choir led by Dorota Straburzyńska performed three Christmas pastorals: “Jesus Came to Us,” “From the High Heavens,” and “To My Little Son.”
That evening also featured a concert by Zielona Góra native and man of many passions, Bogdan Springer.
