The accident occurred on Sunday, December 10, before noon, in Stara Oleszna (Bolesławiec municipality). Bolesławiec traffic police received a report about a car rolling over. At the scene, it turned out that the driver of an Opel Tigra, a 38-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, had performed an overtaking maneuver incorrectly and hit the side of a Nissan, then a fence belonging to a roadside property.
As it turned out, the Opel driver was drunk; he had more than 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his breath. What is more, the 38-year-old was injured and taken to hospital. It is known, however, that his life is not in danger. (Fortunately, nothing happened to the people traveling in the Nissan.)
The accident’s perpetrator lost his driving licence. He now also faces up to two years in prison. (The photos come from the Facebook profile of volunteer firefighters from Trzebień.)
