Criminal investigators from Bogatynia detained a 35-year-old resident of the town who had been hiding from the justice system. (The man was due to serve a sentence of several months in prison.)
When officers detained the 35-year-old, they noticed Skoda Superb and Ford Transit vehicles parked in the driveway. It turned out that both cars had been stolen in Germany.
The police recovered cars worth approximately PLN 100,000. The wanted man was first taken to police custody and then to prison, where he will spend the coming months.
He may now additionally face up to five years behind bars for handling stolen goods.
