The fire occurred on Tuesday, December 5, in one of the residential buildings in Warta Bolesławiecka. Wood caught fire near a stove. (The incident was probably caused by improper operation of the appliance.)
The fire was extinguished. The woman who suffered smoke inhalation was taken to hospital. Several PSP and OSP units took part in the operation.
Alarmingly, since October 1, as many as 15 chimney fires have occurred in our county. What is more, excessive carbon monoxide levels were detected in homes in as many as five cases. The Bolesławiec Fire Service appeals for regular chimney inspections and cleaning.
