According to investigators, from 2011 to 2017, the 48-year-old man from Jelenia Góra employed 26 people with disabilities. The entrepreneur received subsidies from the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities for these employees, covering incurred wage costs (PLN 150–2,000 per person per month).

It turned out that the man collected funds from the fund but failed to pay the mandatory contributions for pension, disability and accident insurance, as well as contributions to the Labour Fund and the Guaranteed Employee Benefits Fund. The man from Jelenia Góra was charged with 23 offences.

The entrepreneur faces up to eight years in prison.
