New Year's Eve and the first day of the new year passed peacefully, according to the police and Fire Service. Police officers arrested two drunk drivers. One of them had a blood alcohol level of 2.5 per mille. Firefighters responded to a car collision on II Armii Wojska Polskiego Street.
The Fire Service also intervened in an apartment on Chrobrego Street. One person suffered carbon monoxide poisoning there. The cause of the poisoning was a leaky connection between the gas heater and the chimney. The resident of Chrobrego Street was taken to hospital.
