The competition, addressed to children from primary schools and young people from secondary schools, aims, among other things, to educate the public about fraud using the “police officer” method and to reach elderly people who live alone and are less socially active. The competition video should be addressed to a senior: a grandmother, grandfather, aunt, uncle or neighbor. It should include:
- warnings about the modern scam method known as the “police officer” scam
- advice and tips on how to avoid this type of threat
- assurance of support in doubtful situations from family, loved ones, institutions or the police.
The competition will run until 13 February 2018. The results will be announced by 10 March. The prizes include a visit from the Commissioner Lion mascot to the winner’s class.
