Officers from the Criminal Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec detained a man suspected of stealing a laptop worth PLN 2,000. The crime took place in one of Bolesławiec’s computer shops. The 31-year-old resident of Bolesławiec took advantage of the moment when the salesperson was busy with other customers.
Thanks to surveillance footage, the police identified and detained the 31-year-old suspect. He confessed and explained that he had handed the computer over to a friend. He wanted to settle his debts this way. He told his friend that the equipment was his property.
The police recovered the stolen property, which will be returned to its owner. The 31-year-old resident of the City of Ceramics faces up to five years in prison.
