Officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters swiftly arrested a man suspected of stealing four car wheels and two pairs of skis. (The owner estimated the losses at PLN 600). The thief was arrested an hour after committing the crime.
The 24-year-old suspect confessed and indicated where he had hidden the loot. He also explained that he had noticed the items lying unsecured in the yard, so he decided to take advantage of the opportunity.
The man already has previous thefts on his record. He has also been convicted of drug-related offences. He now faces up to five years in prison.
