On November 15, a conference entitled “E-services – Let’s Open Up to New Opportunities” was held in the BOK-MCC hall. It was organized as part of the project “Construction of a Spatial Information System and development of public e-services and electronic administrative services in the northwestern part of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship,” co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Programme of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship for 2014–2020.
The main subject of the meeting was a discussion of the individual tasks planned as part of the project, including the implementation of Domain Systems and the Spatial Information System. The creation of the Spatial Information System will significantly improve the operation of offices and provide residents with access to many important data resources.
The project is being implemented by the Municipality of Bolesławiec in partnership with: the Municipality of Bolesławiec, the Municipality of Gromadka, the Municipality and City of Lwówek Śląski, the Municipality of Zawidów, the Municipality of Nowogrodziec, the Municipality of Osiecznica, the Municipality of Sulików, the Municipality of Warta Bolesławiecka and the Municipality of Zagrodno. These municipalities are located in Bolesławiec, Lwówek, Zgorzelec and Złotoryja counties.
A key element of the system will be the Central Unit in the Municipality of Bolesławiec, staffed by a specialized team. Its task will be to manage the Spatial Information System at all administrative levels in all municipalities. The team will support partner municipalities at every stage of implementation and during the subsequent use of the system.
As part of the project, advanced e-services provided via the Internet will be introduced. The systems being implemented will enable residents to communicate with offices easily, quickly and via mobile devices. Offices will receive specialized tools enabling them to perform their tasks more efficiently and manage the municipality professionally.
“The Spatial Information System will consist of an internal system for employees as well as web-based and mobile systems that will also be available to residents. In addition to providing access to many resources, the mobile applications will allow users to report incidents remotely. Depending on the type of report, the system will forward it to the appropriate unit or indicate which office or unit is responsible for the matter, if the report falls outside the municipality’s area of responsibility,” explains Monika Rutyna, head of the Spatial Information System Department. “The solutions introduced will make it easier for residents to report problems and matters to the appropriate services and reduce the process of ‘wandering’ between offices.”
