On Saturday (November 18), after 3 p.m., several travelers wanted to use the waiting room at the PKS bus station in Bolesławiec. They probably wanted to warm up a little, because it was cold outside that day (a few degrees above 0). Unfortunately, the station doors were locked, and the travelers had to wait for the bus outside. A Reader wrote to us and asked why people cannot use the waiting room when it is so cold outside.

We contacted the president of PKS Bolesławiec about the matter – Jacek Subik. The president informed us that the bus station is open from Monday to Friday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. On Sundays, the station is closed. Information about the station’s opening hours is displayed on signs on both sides of the building. “When analyzing the opening hours, I tried to choose the times when the greatest number of departures take place,” says Jacek Subik.

The president explains that on Saturdays, after 11 a.m., only four services operate, and the station cannot be left without security. Especially since the building administrator had already alerted PKS to the presence of homeless people who appeared around the station when the first cold weather arrived.
