A Reader called us to say that her husband, a foreign national, received a fine for parking near Stara Mleczarnia:

No one said anything about the galleries operating under their own rules. Does that mean they want to lose customers because their parking lot will be empty?

The Reader stresses that the couple has purchased an annual subscription to Bolesławiec’s Paid Parking Zone, precisely so they would not have to deal with, for example, looking for a parking meter.

The reporting woman’s husband wanted to take advantage of a promotion at one of the stores. He did, but did not particularly enjoy the opportunity because he was fined in the process.

We are publishing this article as a warning. Unfortunately, as it turns out, neither the parking lot at Stara Mleczarnia nor the one at the shopping gallery near the PKS bus station in Bolesławiec is part of the municipal Paid Parking Zone. (Both places are properly marked, after all.) As a consolation, we can add that customers of both retail parks may park there free of charge:

  • for one hour – near Stara Mleczarnia,
  • for an hour and a half – at the gallery near the PKS bus station.

In both cases, however, a ticket must be obtained from the parking meter.

It is worth adding that the Bolesławiec Lidl chain store introduced a similar solution some time ago.
