Children are watching. People waiting stand 50 metres away because it is unbearable by the seats—the smell is so bad.
And added:
The PKS president should provide decent conditions for those waiting. But whenever they appear, this “woman” always relieves herself. Children walk by and watch, while travellers stand 50 metres away.
“The problem is, of course, known to me. The situation is difficult because the services intervene at the PKS bus station several times a day. Our employee calls, and the services arrive. But these people leave and return a few minutes later,” Łukasz Jaźwiec, head of the district-owned company, told istotne.pl Łukasz Jaźwiec. “And we cannot remove someone from the station premises just because they look or smell bad. We can intervene when these people’s actions pose a threat to safety.”
And he emphasizes:
“This is not just our problem. I spoke with the manager of the entire shopping gallery. I asked whether there was any chance of co-financing security that would be able to bring the situation under control. There was no positive response: they believe that there is no such problem; they do not see such a need.”
But he immediately adds:
“Nevertheless, we are considering various options. We are considering including provisions on supervising the station in the new contract with the security company that guards the PKS headquarters on Modłowa Street. Hiring round-the-clock security solely for the station would be a very high cost—difficult for the company to bear.”
We will certainly return to the subject. What do you think? We invite you to join the discussion.
