Two intoxicated drivers were caught by officers on Saturday, 18 November. A 37-year-old resident of Gromadka commune had 1.4 per mille of alcohol in his breath, while a 41-year-old man from Bolesławiec had 2 per mille.

On the same day, officers stopped a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec commune for a traffic check. A court had imposed a ban on him driving motor vehicles, effective until 2020. The ban was imposed because the man had… driven a car while drunk.

Moreover, on Sunday, traffic officers stopped a drunk 50-year-old in Osiecznica commune who, while intoxicated, decided to drive to a shop for cigarettes.

Three of the detained drivers now face up to two years in prison. The 35-year-old who violated the court-imposed ban may be imprisoned for as many as five years.
