Police officers from Wrocław and Jelenia Góra arrested a 27-year-old woman from Jelenia Góra suspected of fraud. According to investigators, using one of the online portals, the woman fraudulently obtained loans and credit to purchase expensive mobile phones, which she then sold on another portal. She carried out the scheme from September to October; the victims’ losses were estimated at no less than PLN 75,000.
At the 27-year-old’s apartment, police officers found two fraudulently obtained mobile phones. Another was seized directly from a courier.
Police are currently clarifying all the circumstances of the case and identifying additional victims. The woman from Jelenia Góra could face up to eight years in prison.
