On the PTPP website in Bolesławiec, you can complete a petition calling for Dominik to receive a lenient sentence and send money, among other things, for Dominik’s defense, rehabilitation process and therapeutic care. We support this campaign; we believe it is justified. We described Dominik’s entire story in the article Did Dominik deserve life imprisonment? The article was widely commented on and shared in local media in the Lwówek and Lubań counties. People want to help. Every voice counts, so that not only Dominik, but also other children harmed in alcoholic families, know that people are kind and compassionate.
You can sign the petition at this address: Let’s Free Dominik Kopeć. There are two ways to sign the petition. The first is electronically; the second is on paper. The paper petition should be downloaded and printed from pomocdominikowi.psychopedagog.eu and sent to the address of the Polish Psychopedagogical Association: 59-700 Bolesławiec, 2/5 Teatralna Street.
Dominik is represented by four lawyers: attorney and PhD Wojciech Kasprzyk, who communicates with the media; attorney and MA Małgorzata Gruszecka; attorney and PhD Dagmara Gruszecka; and attorney and PhD Marcin Nowożenny. The lawyers are supported by two law professors.
People who support the campaign write:
“No one wanted to help him, but they were the first to punish him.”
“Done! We’re with you, Dominik!”
“He deserves a chance at a normal life.”
“What a shame about the boy. I wish him a fair sentence.”
“He defended himself against that terrible fate [...] Give him a chance; he deserves it!”
“Signed. I hope they acquit the boy!”
“What a shame about the boy—where were the neighbors and social services?”
“An unhappy boy; he should be helped, not sentenced.”
