Officers from the Zgorzelec traffic police stopped a 27-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County for inspection in Żarska Wieś. He was driving a VW Vento passenger car. Several days earlier, in Czerwona Woda, officers from Pieńsk caught a 20-year-old Audi driver who was a resident of Żary County.
Both drivers were highly agitated during the inspections. They were therefore tested with drug testers. The officers’ suspicions were confirmed: the drivers were under the influence of methamphetamine. What is more, both had several portions of the drug in their possession.
Both suspects now face a sentence of up to three years in prison.
