Bolesławiec police officers detained a 33-year-old man who committed two car break-ins in one night. His loot included a radio, a grinder and a rotary hammer. (Each owner estimated the losses at more than PLN 1,000.)

The suspect was caught by police near one of the restaurants. He had items originating from the crimes with him at the time. The man was charged, gave an explanation and was released to go home.

When the police officer handling the case was returning from duty, he spotted the 33-year-old suspect again. This time, the latter had items from another break-in with him—petrol-powered hedge trimmers, saws and brush cutters—worth approximately PLN 3,000.

The burglar now faces up to 10 years in prison.
