On Saturday, October 28, an International Boxing Tournament took place in Lubań, featuring athletes from Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany. A total of 60 boxers from 10 clubs participated in the competition. Top Box Bolesławiec was represented by three boxers: Piotr Motyka (62 kg), Kamil Sobczyszyn (89 kg) and Jakub Kaleta (97 kg).
Piotr Motyka won his bout against Kamil Dybikowski, an athlete from Jaskinia Lwa Ziębice. Jakub Kaleta lost to Savio Drozdek from Box Lwówek Śląski, while Kamil Sobczyszyn—after a very exciting and demanding bout—lost to Czech boxer Ales Vczelis from Boxing Klub in Trutnov.
“Those interested in boxing classes are welcome on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:00 p.m. in the gymnasium at Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych,” says coach Tomasz Tomczyk.
