Officers from the Criminal Division of Police Station I identified and then detained a 19-year-old man who, from June to October, committed four property crimes in Jelenia Góra (three thefts and one burglary).

On the night of October 10, the teenager entered one of the single-family homes through an ajar balcony door and robbed the owners. (His loot would have included a laptop, a piggy bank and a bracelet, but one of the household members scared off the thief; the perpetrator left the computer behind).

In addition, the 19-year-old is charged, among other things, with stealing two bicycles from an open garage. The victims’ total losses amounted to several thousand zlotys.

The suspect sold the stolen property to people he met by chance. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.
