On Wednesday, October 25, the victim notified the police about the theft. The thieves took property—including saws, a drill and a pressure washer—worth more than PLN 3,000 from his basement. “A quick analysis of the information gathered from the basement owner made it possible to accurately identify the perpetrators of the theft,” says asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, spokesperson for the Bolesławiec police. The thieves were arrested on the day the theft was reported.

One of the suspects fell into the hands of the police while standing by a car containing items from the crime. The other perpetrator was arrested when he was... taking a nap in a room where the rest of the loot was located.

Both suspects now face up to five years in prison. The recovered property will be returned to its owner.
