The anniversary celebrations began as early as 2016 with a series of long-term activities and meetings with former school employees. At the same time, competitions concerning Kruszyn Primary School were announced, with their finals taking place during the ceremony on 20 October. Guests received commemorative key rings, pendants and a publication of great importance to the school: a monograph prepared, among others, by Sebastian Zielonka, author of a monograph about the village of Kruszyn.
Kruszyn school was established by Poles in 1947 (in the school’s pre-war building) and was the first educational institution in Kruszyn. More about the school’s history can be read in Sebastian Zielonka’s article “A Brief History of the School in Kruszyn”.
On Friday, 20 October, principal Dariusz Kunaszko welcomed the guests in the school gymnasium. For them, talented students prepared an artistic performance directed by teacher Magdalena Kędzierska. The teacher emphasized the tremendous contribution of all her colleagues to preparing the celebration.
