The accident occurred on Wednesday, October 11, on the county road between Osła and Gromadka (Gromadka Municipality). Near the industrial zone, two vehicles collided: a Peugeot passenger car and a Mercedes truck.
The 41-year-old woman from Bolesławiec County, who was driving the passenger car, lost control of it on a bend in the road and collided with the truck driven by a man from Legnica.
A 9-year-old boy, a passenger in the Peugeot, was injured in the accident. The injured child was taken to a hospital in Legnica.
As reported on the website of the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec:
The crews secured the accident scene and provided first aid to those injured. [...] The batteries in the vehicles were disconnected, and the valve on the gas supply system of the passenger car was shut off. The operations, which lasted 1.5 hours, involved State Fire Service crews from Bolesławiec, a volunteer fire service crew from Różyniec, emergency medical teams and the police.
