The robbery took place on October 4, at around 10:20 p.m., in one of the grocery stores in Legnica. The 40-year-old perpetrator entered the store, pulled an object resembling a pistol from under his sweatshirt and pointed it at the saleswomen. After a moment, he pressed the object against one of their heads, forcing her to hand over the money from the cash register.

One of the employees activated the panic alarm. The perpetrator ran out of the store. A 26-year-old man, alerted by the saleswomen’s screams, pursued him.

The young man ran after the robber even though the latter twice pointed something resembling a weapon at him and threatened to shoot.

The 26-year-old was not intimidated by the fugitive’s threats. He apprehended the robber and handed him over to the police.

The 40-year-old aggressor was first taken to police custody, and then the court ordered his temporary detention for three months. The suspect faces up to 12 years in prison.
