Being a police officer is the dream of many a boy and girl, which is why educational institutions often ask to be allowed to visit police headquarters and learn about the profession of a police officer.
Junior Aspirant Dawid Dubiński and Senior Sergeant Radosław Kupiec, who organized the meeting with the children from Wesoła Dwudziestka, began the tour of the headquarters by reminding the youngest children of emergency numbers and basic road-safety rules.
The children were able to see the police cells. They also learned which room the most important people at the headquarters work in: the commander and his deputies.
The fingerprinting demonstration greatly appealed to the youngest children. Each child had the chance to make a handprint on a special card and take it home as a keepsake. The preschoolers also had the opportunity to see a police car up close and take a commemorative photo in it.
“This new experience was wonderful for the preschoolers,” say the Legnica officers. “Meeting the police officers proved to be a huge attraction that brought the children many smiles. At the end, they received reflective accessories. We hope that the visit to the headquarters will remain in their memory for a long time.”
