The amount allocated for purchasing playground equipment at the “Relaks” ROD is nearly PLN 15,000. The newly created garden playground includes a swing, a seesaw, a three-arm carousel with seats, a spring rocker, a slide, and a fitness device—the “Orbitrek.” The equipment was installed by the allotment gardeners themselves.

The garden playground at the “Wiarus” ROD has been equipped with a swing, a seesaw, two spring rockers, a slide, and a fitness device—the “Biegacz.” At “Wiarus,” too, the equipment was installed by the allotment gardeners. The cost of purchasing the playground equipment at the “Wiarus” ROD is more than PLN 9,000 (the amount is lower than planned due to the small area available for building the playground).

The funds for purchasing playground equipment at the “Relaks” and “Wiarus” RODs come from the city budget as part of the task: “Co-financing the creation and expansion of the facilities necessary to provide alternative ways for children and young people to spend their free time as part of community-based addiction prevention (safe courtyards, playgrounds, sports fields)—purchase of playground equipment.” The purchase of the playground equipment is handled by the Municipal Housing Management Facility in Bolesławiec.

It is worth recalling that the idea behind providing the playground equipment is to enable children to spend their time actively and in a more varied way while their parents and grandparents work on their allotments. The aim is also to develop a sense of aesthetics, inspire children’s imagination, and ensure their safety during their free time. More at www.boleslawiec.eu.
