The thief who brazenly stole four shampoos from the cosmetics store on Komuny Paryskiej Street in Bolesławiec was sentenced to one month of restriction of liberty. The man must also complete 20 hours of community service and pay the owner for the stolen goods. The judgment is final.
Let us recall: the incident took place on Monday, 15 May. A man entered the cosmetics store with a woman. While his companion was talking to the store employees, he reached for shampoos several times and then hid them in his backpack.
The couple stayed in the store for a while longer and then left. The entire incident was recorded by the store’s surveillance camera.
The owner knew the offender and notified the police about the theft. At the time, she was worried whether the thief would be punished, because various accounts suggested that he had several minor shoplifting incidents to his name, but justice had not caught up with him until then.
