The incident took place on September 7, at around 7:55 p.m. The driver of a green Volkswagen Polo with German license plates failed to stop for a traffic inspection in Zgorzelec. While fleeing from the police, he violated all traffic regulations and posed a real threat to other road users, who had to pull over onto the shoulder.

The man fled on Broniewskiego Street in Zgorzelec; he then drove along Karłowicza, Lubańska, Fabryczna, Henrykowska and Wyspiańskiego streets, where he caused a collision with a BMW. The road pirate's further escape route included Norwida, Kościuszki, Ks. Kozaka and Groszowa streets.

The fugitive escaped the officers. Anyone who witnessed this driver's reckless driving, especially those who had to get out of his way, is asked to contact the District Police Headquarters in Zgorzelec:
