On Thursday, September 7, a reader called us: “A preschool and a reception class have been added to the Primary School named after the Soldiers of the Second Polish Army in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. The school year has begun, and the children in the preschool are walking around sweaty. The heating is on all the time because the plaster needs to dry. There is also an access ramp for people with disabilities that ends on the lawn.”
He added: “Who approved this for use?! It is one big botched job!”
“This is a building that we wanted to put up very quickly. We built it within eight months,” Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality Head istotne.pl Mirosław Haniszewski tells the service. “Such a facility requires continuous, proper ventilation so that the plaster can dry properly. And indeed, the heating is on, but absolutely not when there are children there.”
The municipal head stresses: “There was and is no botched work! I am surprised by some parents. I wish that in the future their children could also study in such good conditions. The facility could have been built over two years, but an education reform was introduced. Had we planned it that way, there would now be no classrooms for the younger children.”
The municipal head also addressed the issue of the access route mentioned by the reader. He explained that it is… not an access ramp for people with disabilities (as such a ramp is located at the main entrance). The “access route” in question is simply intended to make it easier to reach the facility’s back rooms.
