The tragedy occurred on Wednesday, September 6, on the road between Łaziska (Bolesławiec gmina) and Warta Bolesławiecka. Two vehicles—a Mercedes and a Ford Ka—collided head-on. The woman driving the Ford, a 61-year-old from Warta gmina, died at the scene. The 20-year-old driving the Mercedes, from Lwówek County, is in critical condition; she was airlifted by the Polish Medical Air Rescue to a hospital.
The road will be blocked for several hours. The police and prosecutor’s office are determining the cause of the accident.
