Puls Biznesu, citing local websites, reported that Beijing WKW Automotive Parts (BWKW) may build a factory producing batteries for electric cars in Wykroty (Nowogrodziec gmina). The Chinese company would employ 2,000 people and purchase part of the 160 hectares incorporated into the Kamienna Góra Special Economic Zone for Small Businesses.
Tadeusz Rycharski, head of the Kamienna Góra zone, stressed in an interview with Puls Biznesu, however, that the matter is absolutely not yet decided. “Company representatives viewed the plot in May. It is well located and has access to electricity with sufficient capacity for the company. We are waiting for a decision, which is expected by the end of September,” he added.
