The incident occurred on Friday, August 25, at around 3:00 a.m. The emergency services dispatcher in Lubin received a call about a patient, an elderly man. An ambulance was sent to the scene.

And… a problem arose right at the beginning. The ambulance could not drive up to the entrance. The only access route, which should always remain clear, had been blocked by the driver of a Citroën, who had parked on the fire lane.

The paramedics called the police. Officers from the Lubin traffic police quickly established the vehicle owner's identity. They went to his apartment. But although the light was on inside and the officers knocked repeatedly on the door, no one bothered to open it.

The emergency service decided that the patient had to be transported to hospital. The elderly man could not move independently, so he had to be carried on a stretcher to the ambulance. Time was passing, and the paramedics had to look for a route through which they could safely carry the sick man on the stretcher.

What happens next? Proceedings are underway against the thoughtless owner of the Citroën. He faces a fine or arrest.
