The incident occurred on August 21, after 10:00 p.m., on one of the streets in Sieniawka, Zgorzelec County. While walking along the street, a 16-year-old suddenly heard a shot and then felt severe pain in the neck area. It turned out that he had been shot; he was taken to hospital, where he received medical assistance. His life is not in danger.
Officers determined which apartment the shot might have come from. Inside, they found an air rifle and ammunition. Its owner, a 35-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County, was detained. He could face up to three years in prison for exposing another person to the risk of serious bodily harm.
