Losses suffered by the owners of the two burned cars were estimated at PLN 30,000. Vehicles parked next to them were also partially damaged. There is no doubt that the fire was caused by deliberate arson.
"The incident took place after midnight in a car park on Starzyńskiego Street. In two cars parked next to them, the fire destroyed part of the paintwork and the windows," says the on-duty operations officer of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec, junior captain Dariusz Bandrów.
Firefighters estimate that the efficiently conducted firefighting operation prevented other cars parked nearby from burning. An unfavorable course of events could have resulted in losses of up to PLN 100,000.
