The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 16, at around 5:00 p.m., on Jana Pawła II Street in Jelenia Góra. Officers stopped the driver of a scheduled bus for a roadside check. (The passengers got off the vehicle when it stopped).
The officers detected a strong smell of alcohol from the driver. It turned out that the 55-year-old resident of our county was drunk; he had nearly 0.8 per mille of alcohol in his system. Moreover, he was not carrying the required documents.
The 55-year-old could now face a sentence of up to two years in prison.
