The arrest of two fraudsters took place at Ratuszowy Square in Jelenia Góra. The women approached passers-by and tried to extort money for an association for deaf and mute children and disabled people in Europe. As it turned out, they were two Romanian citizens, aged 20 and 28. What is more, it came to light that they were collecting money for an organisation that… does not exist.
The women were taken into police custody. They could face up to eight years in prison.
