Officers identified and detained a 26-year-old man from Jelenia Góra. The man is suspected of purchasing a vehicle that was stolen from one of the streets in Jelenia Góra during the night of 26–27 July.
In addition, officers established that in February the 26-year-old committed several shoplifting offences in Jelenia Góra County. In supermarkets, he stole batteries worth approximately PLN 600, a carpet-cleaning vacuum cleaner worth PLN 2,500, and… a toy car for children worth PLN 800. What is more, the man has also committed minor thefts in grocery stores.
The serial thief could now face up to five years in prison.
