Preschoolers’ curiosity knows no bounds, which is why they came to visit the Lubin police officers with such enthusiasm. What questions were asked most often during the meeting?
- Have you already caught a thief?
- Where is your prison?
- Have you ever fired a shot?
- Is this an undercover car?
- Do you talk to each other over walkie-talkies?
The children received answers to all the questions that intrigued them. They visited the command post and learned what the duty officer does, how the radio station works, and what equipment is used to direct traffic and stop vehicles. The biggest attractions for the children, however, were the police cars, police motorcycles and a lesson in taking fingerprints.
The children also received reflective vests and copies of the booklet “The Police—Not Only for Children”.
