At the request of the district prosecutor in Lwówek Śląski, the court ordered the temporary detention of a man suspected of murder. The incident occurred on 25 July in one of the apartments in Lwówek. During a drinking session, an argument broke out between two men. One of them stabbed the 65-year-old victim in the chest area. The wound proved fatal.
The police were notified of the incident. A knife was found on the perpetrator. As part of the investigation, a crime-scene examination was carried out, supervised by the prosecutor. An examination and autopsy of the victim were also conducted. Moreover, a preliminary expert opinion in forensic medicine was obtained, confirming that the cause of death was cardiac arrest caused by sudden hemorrhaging resulting from a stab wound to the chest.
The suspect, Kazimierz P., was charged with murder. The man faces up to life imprisonment. The investigation by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Lwówek Śląski is ongoing.
