Our Reader drew attention to the entrance to the parking lot on the Dobra–Kliczków road (road no. 350). The woman from Bolesławiec wrote: “The work has been botched so badly that even Kowalska can see it.” She added: “Leaving the parking lot is some kind of nightmare.”
Director of the Lower Silesian Roads and Railways Service Leszek Loch:
The work was carried out correctly, in accordance with the design and the construction permit, including the changes introduced during implementation. This is confirmed by the Client obtaining an occupancy permit in 2016. During the mandatory inspection after the completion of the works, the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Inspector of Building Supervision in Wrocław, which rarely happens, raised no objections to the completed project and granted an occupancy permit.
The aggregate shown in the photographs [...] is at the exit from the forest parking lot and comes from overloaded heavy goods vehicles delivering it for the reconstruction of the Osiecznica–Świętoszów county road.
Loads not secured with tarpaulins simply spill onto the road when heavy goods vehicles join the traffic at a right angle on the considerable slope of the entrance. Ongoing maintenance of the exit is the responsibility of its owner.
He added:
“Ms. Inspector Kowalska” took the photographs at the connection between the new entrance surface and the old course of the road, which has a surface at least several decades old and is currently a forest parking lot not managed by DSDiK. The old course of the road was not reconstructed; only the traffic organization was changed there. The condition of the surface is the one maintained by its current manager.
I would also like to inform you that our Inspections and Warranty Department has scheduled a warranty inspection of the section in question for August 3 (curve corrections). During this inspection, any defects will be identified and the Contractor will be given a deadline for their removal.
