Officers serving in bicycle patrols paid particular attention last weekend to unsupervised bodies of water near Morcinka, Głowackiego, Chrobrego, Orkana and Mickiewicza streets, as well as Sudecka Street. They also visited places that are difficult for motorized patrols to access, including parks between apartment blocks in Jelenia Góra’s Zabobrze district, playgrounds, green squares, Żiżka Park, the park on Wzgórze Krzywoustego, parking lots and bicycle paths.
The main aim of the campaign is to promote appropriate behavior around bodies of water, including safe bathing, safe sailing and the safe practice of water sports, ultimately reducing the number of drownings.
The project is being carried out across the country from June to September 2017.
