I wanted to describe the situation that occurred today [w sobotę 22 lipca – przyp. red.] at the Leśny Potok swimming pool on Jeleniogórska Street in Bolesławiec. My children and I wanted to use the facility, paying PLN 27 for admission. We were not there even 30 minutes because the cashier did not inform us that a red flag could be displayed and that we had to leave the bathing area immediately. She politely called the manager and informed him of the situation, after which the manager refused to refund the money or allow us to use the admission ticket on another date.

She added: “We were dismissed and, in my opinion, unfairly paid for admission.”

We contacted the director of the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre, Zbigniew Kowalczyk. The MOSiR director told us that the bathing area had been closed on Saturday because of a storm. The director also stressed that he had not been present during the incident, but had heard from his employees that the manager of Leśny Potok had invited the man who was at the pool with the reader to the office on Monday, 24 July. (He wanted to resolve the matter.) According to the bathing area employees, the man who was protesting was also not interested in rescheduling the ticket for another date.

We wrote to the reader. She replied: “No, no. That’s not how it happened. I was present during the conversation because it was on speakerphone. We were the ones who suggested changing the date, but we were refused.”

So this is a classic case of “he said, she said.” Has anything similar happened to you at Leśny Potok? We invite you to join the discussion.
